Klostermølle’s stately "new" building was built in 1873 by J. J Holst at the same time as he established the wood-pulp grinding mill. The old main building was then used as a barn and house for the coachman.
The "old" main building was modernized in 1997-98. The keeper employed by the Silkeborg State Forestry District lives in it today.

In the cellar in the "new" main building there is a nature school, which is run by the society, Nature and Youth, in cooperation with Silkeborg State Forestry District. On the ground floor, Nature and Youth have established a camp school for the society’s members and on the first floor the society’s nature guide lives.
